The Wake Manifesto (2012) is a statement about the practices of institutionalized science. The piece is produced as a typographic exercise in the style of the manifesto of Wyndham Lewis and the Vorticists in BLAST magazine (1914-1915). The piece plays with the affinities of idealized science and modernism while exploring the tensions between institutionalization of process and the avant-garde needs of science.
